Sunday Laws

 You may think that it was the Puritans in the 1600's who were very strict where religion was concerned but that's not necessarily the case and there have been some recent Laws that  would make you scratch your head.  

' You can purchase any men's adult magazine on a Sunday but it is an offence for anyone to purchase a Bible'  -  Shops Act 1950

' Every City Councillor is obliged to attend Church every Sunday'  -  Manchester Bye Law

' People attending Church are not to wear the same clothes on a Sunday as they do for the rest of the week'  Somerset Bye Law
